Mexican Dream herb Calea Zacatechichi
Mexican Dream herb Calea Zacatechichi
AkA, Aztec Dream Herb originated in central Mexico, thriving in the mountainous areas, including:
in the Mexican states of Chiapas, Jalisco, Morelos, Oaxaca, Veracruz,
in lowland areas on the Yucatan peninsula; reaching as far south as Costa Rica.
Utilized for centuries by the Chontal Indians of the Oaxaca region in Mexico, Thle-pelakano (meaning Leaf of God) as a medicine that clarifies the senses and allow the shaman to receive divinatory messages in the dream state.
is an all natural oneirogenic herb, meaning it is an herb that promotes sleep and induces lucid dream states.
The studied psychoactive compounds found are germacranolides, which are responsible for the herb’s sharp bitter taste.
The intense taste is the price you pay to be escorted to the astral realm by this ancient plant energy.
directions & dosage
5 grams Calea Zacatechichi
2 cups Water
Honey to taste
Heat the water to simmering and add the dream herb. If you want to be specific I think 170F is best but putting your stove on simmer (low) should do it. Leave uncovered and steep for 20-30 minutes. Don’t allow it to boil or it will taste worse. Add honey to taste and enjoy. I generally drink it about 30 minutes before bed
Can also be smoked!
